THE YOUTH SPENT A WONDERFUL DAY IN FELLOWSHIP AND MINISTRY
AS WE VISITED OAK LEAF VILLAGE, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY AND PASSED OUT CANDY CANES AND CHRISTMAS CARDS..JUST TO VISIT WITH
THE GUESTS THERE WAS SUCH A BLESSING TO US ALL...
AND OF COURSE THEY WERE FILLED WITH A JOYFUL SPIRIT...AND A BIT OF SILLINESS AS WELL...

THE VISIT WAS THEN FOLLOWED BY LUNCH AT CAROLINA WINGS WHERE WE ALL ENJOYED THE FOOD AND FUN....

TIS THE SEASON TO GIVE...in the month of December,
the youth have shared in many ministries. The shoe box ministry enabled us to provide gifts to 7 children in third
world countries and spread the love of Christ in celebration of His birth. Each year thousands of shoe boxes are shipped
from the United States to areas that desperately need to hear the message of salvation.
Boxes all ready for shipment at the collection site...the pile grows as a few are added and then a few more and as everyone
puts their efforts together, prayers are answered..
another ministry that our youth participated
in this month was a coat drive for the Oliver Gospel Mission. We delivered around 40 coats, two large boxes of mens
clothing and gloves for the homeless men of Columbia. With cold weather amongst us, the youth wanted to share the warmth
of a heart for God.
this is the mission where so many find a warm place to sleep and a hot meal to eat, but in the morning, they are sent back
onto the streets.....please pray for these men.
Ashlynn grabs an armful as we prepare to enter into the mission ....Kelly and McKenzie, spent hours sorting and hanging the
coats to get them ready for delivery...below, they smile at the fruit of their efforts...

Truly, the blessings fell upon us as we had the opportunity to participate in this ministry....thanks for all the prayers...the
Lord always provides!

WOW! WHAT A WEEKEND!!!
Special thanks to Bob and Shelia Spivey and Andrew Benton
in addition to the entire Bloodworth family and Growing Oaks Community Church. We had an amazing weekend. If you
went, I encourage you to keep the message in your heart and use what you experienced to spread the good news of Christ.
If you missed out, we certainly wish you had been there. God worked in awesome ways through this retreat. We saw
souls saved and lives changing. We hiked, we sang, we worshiped, we prayed, we shared fellowship, met some new people,
and were so blessed. This trip was filled with the Holy Spirit. I would just like to share on a personal
note some things that some of you are not aware of. From the beginning of planning this retreat, way back in January,
it was a ministry that the Lord laid on my heart. Everything came together and the message was prepared. Growing
Oaks Community Church, in Eden, North Carolina was to partner with us and from there we were going to do a hiking day
at the park. The date was set and we were ready to go. Several weeks later, we found out that Growing Oaks Community
Church had a prior commitment on the calendar for that weekend. The prior commitment just happened to be Billy Wayne
Arrington, musician and youth evangelist as well as Adrian Despres, a SC native and youth speaker. We had great plans
but the Lord had greater plans as He brought these two events together. The excitement was more than words can describe.
Our one day hiking and outreach message had turned into a full blown youth weekend that encompassed not two, but actually
three youth groups and many more youth from the community. Most people can tell you what happens when the Lord has great plans.......Satan
gets busy. Well...things started to unravel the closer we got to the date of the retreat. Our drivers, became
unavailable (all for reasons they could not help - they were willing, but circumstances deemed otherwise). Our list
of supplies met challenges and obstacles too. We had one item backordered, and another misplaced by mistake. We
had a computer printer jam and freeze while printing the message of salvation we planned to take with us. In addition,
the weather forcast took a turn for the worst. We were basically down to Wednesday before Friday departure and as of
8am, we had twelve teens and two drivers, half our supplies and a probable forcast for rain the entire weekend. Talk
about discouraging circumstances! Well, we prayed and we prayed and we prayed and we prayed. On Wednesday, by 9:30 am,
our transportation dilemma was solved. Andrew Benton called to say he would like to go and would drive. Praise
God! Friday, we are all set and packing to go. Helena, my baby girl starts to run a fever! So, now I have
a driver and a sick baby and two hours til departure. As we meet, the rain starts to move in. The entire trip
to North Carolina, it rained and it rained and it rained and it rained and we prayed and we prayed and we prayed....Saturday
morning, the sun was shining! Praise God! We took the trip from the Bloodworth's and made it to the park. Upon
arrival, we had found 35 + youths and 15 or so, adults eagerly awaiting the hike. We prayed and set up for our
object lessons and hiked and hiked and I passed out! Literally! Satan was working overtime! I regained my composure
and we moved on. To the summit we made our way. On top of God's beautiful mountain, we had a duet and a scripture
study. We hiked back down and enjoyed lunch and the final lesson. Faces were fully attentive, God had used the
day to get them focused. We left there feeling tired but spiritually renewed. Saturday night we arrived at the
church, Billy Wayne Arrington gave his presentation and 5 children gave their lives to Christ. Praise God! At
9:30pm our night at the church concluded. We found our way to bed and woke up Sunday morning to more rain! We
had 23 people to get up, dressed, fed, packed, loaded and out the door for morning service. We made it! Praise
God! Adrian Despres gave an awesome message and more youth were moved! Praise God! The drive home, it rained
and rained and rained, but we made it safe and overall the weekend was incredible. Satan lost this battle! Ask
your youth about their weekend. Spend some time with them getting into the scriptures that they heard and ask them to
share their experience. Cut through the inconveniences of not getting to ride with their best friend, having to walk
in the rain, tired legs from being driven up the mountain, and get to the heart of the matter...get to the message, don't
let Satan get a foothold, don't let him take away from God's work. Keep them in the right direction and watch them grow.
Thank you for sharing them with me and thank you for all you do.
what a wonderful day of fellowship.......
